Our Story

Like all great modern love stories, ours began with a swipe. We matched on Tinder, met for drinks, went on 7 dates in a week, and by the end we were already saying “I love you.” This whirlwind culminated in a trip to London to seal the deal, where we officially became George and Phoebe.

From the very beginning, our relationship has been anything but ordinary. We’ve survived being held hostage in Thailand, two years of long distance, and a pandemic - all whilst learning how to truly embrace each others’ chaos.

From the start, all we’ve wanted to do is travel. From a baptism of fire family holiday for Phoebe two months in, to ending up getting a free cruise in the Caribbean, travel has become our favourite way of celebrating life together. And let’s face it, if we can get through an airport without wanting to kill each other then it’s a good sign of things to come.

Getting engaged was no surprise to either of us. The proposal was simply a means to an end: a way to cement the love we’ve had for each other for the last 6 and a half years.

Our story is one of laughter, resilience, and choosing each other every single day. And the best is still to come. We can’t wait to celebrate our wedding day with you!

Fun facts

Fun facts and tidbits about the couple

Who's going to take out the bins?

If you live with a man and he doesn't take out the bins, you don't live with a man, you live with a woman. Blue job.

What's your favourite activity together?

Parkrun and pastries, suffering through a Crossfit class together and watching Benidorm.

What's the best meal you have eaten together?

Duck noodle soup at a night market in Chiang Mai.

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

Our trip to Brittany in May 2024. Phoebe had just moved back from Estonia and we spent 3 days riding bikes, spotting puffins and eating an obscene amount of butter.

We’re on the same page about

The way that secondary school Spanish teachers explain the difference between ser and estar is entirely beyond the comprehension of the teenage brain.

A life goal of ours

Lawhive exit, purchase large yacht, drink champagne at sea

Getting to Norfolk

Public transport is somewhat lacking in North Norfolk - in all honesty we would recommend driving up. What Norfolk does have plenty of is unused space - you should not struggle for parking at all.

Getting There

Public Transportation

The nearest mainline station is Sheringham, which has hourly trains from Norwich. Norwich is a ~2 hour journey from London Liverpool Street.

Things to Do

Blakeney Seal Trip

Learn More →

Take a trip to see the seals at Blakeney Point - the seal colony at Blakeney is the largest colony of grey seals in the UK (over 4,500 seals!) - various providers will take you out to see them in a little boat

Swim in the sea

Sea swimming at Sheringham and Cromer - both have excellent beaches and Cromer even has a Victorian pier which was featured in the dramatic finale of the Alan Partridge movie!

Paddleboarding on the Norfolk Broads

Learn More →

The Broads are a canal-type network of waterways with lots of nice wildlife, you can rent a kayak or paddleboard and spend a very relaxing day on the water

Baconsthorpe Castle

Learn More →

This is a ruined manor house which was built by the Heydon family before what ChatGPT describes as their 'spectacular fall from grace'. We love the walk between High Kelling and Baconsthorpe as it gives some incredible views of Norfolk's enormous skies.

FAQ

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our FAQ first!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by 4th May 2026, so we can have an accurate headcount. :)

Can I bring a date?

Please check the RSVP section on the website - when you enter your name it will tell you whether you have a +1 or not

Are kids welcome?

We’re going for an adults-only vibe – except for one very tiny VIP who’s made the guest list. Thanks for understanding!

What will the weather be like?

Honestly, who knows. It’s mid-June in North Norfolk - could be blazing sunshine, could be sideways rain. We’ll have a big tipi set up in the garden so there’s plenty of cover either way, and we’ll make it cosy if it gets chilly. Best to check the forecast before you pack, and come prepared for all eventualities - layers, sunglasses, maybe a waterproof just in case.

Where should I park?

There is a car park at the church - we are still working out reception parking so stay tuned!

What should I wear?

Dressy but relaxed. Think summer wedding in a garden - dresses, suits, or anything you’d wear to look great and feel comfortable. We’ll be celebrating on grass, so maybe skip the stilettos. And just to be totally clear: please leave the white ballgowns to the bride.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony is indoors, but our reception will be in a tipi :)

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them with us.
However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.

Can I crank at the wedding?

Absolutely not - the wedding is a crank-free day. Anyone caught mentioning GMV, Proactive Lawrence, Lawyer Efficiency, or checking Slack will be summarily executed.

Also if anyone asks George any questions at all about Amazon Connect they will be forced to buy a round of drinks for every single person at the wedding. You have been warned.
